What is bowen therapy?
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that uses subtle, rolling moves over muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerve receptors.
These moves stimulate your body’s innate healing response, helping to:
- Reset the nervous system
- Release muscular tension
- Relieve pain
- Promote deep relaxation
It’s suitable for everyone — including the elderly, the frail and those recovering from injury, surgery or trauma.
Conditions Commonly Supported
Bowen Therapy treats the body as a whole. It may assist with:
- Back, neck and shoulder pain
- Joint stiffness and muscular tension
- Sciatica and hip discomfort
- Repetitive strain injuries (RSI), carpal tunnel, tennis/golfer’s elbow
- Knee, ankle and foot issues — including plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammer toes
- Headaches, migraines and TMJ dysfunction
- Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue
- Postural imbalances and scoliosis
- Recovery from falls, accidents or surgery
- Digestive and respiratory problems
- Stress, anxiety, PTSD and sleep disturbances
